A Queens-based distributor of high-end reading glasses and sunglasses is relocating to Farmingdale.
Creative Group Inc., currently located in Ridgewood, has agreed to buy a 21,500-square-foot warehouse in Farmingdale and move its operations to the new property during the second half of calendar year 2018, according to a statement issued Tuesday by Suffolk Industrial Properties LLC.
Suffolk Industrial Properties, which specializes in industrial sales and leases in the western portion of Long Island’s easternmost county, officially announced three new commercial transactions, including the $2.73 million deal between Creative Eye Glass Group and property owner Great River Holding LLC, real estate affiliate of Connetquot West Healthcare Medical Supplies.
Suffolk Industrial Properties President Michael Freedberg noted “a true roller coaster” for his firm, which represented both the buyer and the seller in the Allen Boulevard deal, over the year-and-a-half it took to pull together the sale – including Connequot West temporarily pulling the building off the market.
But in the end, the deal turned into a win for the seller, the buyer and Long Island, according to Freedberg.
“Another story of Queens-to-Long Island migration,” he said Tuesday. “It’s happening.”
Other transactions announced Tuesday by the West Babylon-based broker include the $1.06 million sale of an 8,000-square-foot Bay Shore warehouse and the $610,000 sale of a 4,800-square-foot, multi-tenant Farmingdale warehouse.
