SBU researchers win health grants

Three Stony Brook Medicine researchers have received financial backing from the SUNY Health Network of Excellence. The network, part of the SUNY Research Foundation, has granted a total of $450,000 to SBU-led programs targeting GI cancers, Lyme disease and pediatric health issues. Hofstra, NS-LIJ nursing school unveiled

Hofstra University and the North Shore-LIJ Health System unveiled plans for a School of Graduate Nursing and Health Professions, with school officials saying the initial focus is on health care professionals already at work in the region.
