MSC Industrial eyes Midwest in metalworking merger

A Melville-based industrial equipment distributor has snapped up an Iowa-based industrial supplier. Terms of the deal were not officially disclosed, but multiple published reports have MSC Industrial Supply Co. acquiring DECO Tool Supply Co. for roughly $42 million. The transaction was completed July 31, according to MSC, a premier distributor of metalworking and MRO products – for “maintenance, repair and operations” – to industrial customers throughout North America.
