A new “master agent” alliance will introduce Webair’s advanced IT services to an impressive range of potential clients.

The Garden City-based provider of cloud and managed-infrastructure solutions announced this week an “official partnership” with AVANT Communications, a Chicago-based distributor of next-generation IT technologies. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the union will see AVANT advisors pitching Webair’s high-touch, fully managed services “as part of a best-in-class solutions portfolio,” according to Webair.

“We’re thrilled to be working with AVANT to offer our industry-leading, enterprise-class services to a broader audience of IT professionals,” Webair Chief Business Officer Gerard Hiner said Wednesday, while AVANT President Drew Lydecker called the Long Island firm “a natural fit for AVANT’s ecosystem.”

Gerard Hiner: Synergistic.

That ecosystem contains many “channel partners” – third-party providers that hitch their IT stars to AVANT’s worldwide wagon. Each boasts its own niche expertise (connectivity, security, unified communications and more), now strengthened by Webair’s managed-cloud proficiency, according to Lydecker.

“Businesses need to evolve their tech stack if they hope to withstand the accelerating pace of IT change,” the AVANT president said. “We’re pleased to offer them access to world-class solutions like Webair.”

Founded in 1998, Webair manages a secure, enterprise-grade network of data centers in New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Amsterdam and the Asia-Pacific region. Featuring Dedicated Physical Private Clouds and Virtual Private Clouds, the firm’s IT expertise ranges from colocation to disaster recovery, with services delivered securely via direct network to customers’ existing IT infrastructure.

Lydecker called the 21-year-old company “a topnotch provider of managed-cloud and IT-infrastructure solutions,” while trumpeting the potential for accelerated global sales as AVANT folds in, and rolls out, Webair’s services.

And the Garden City-based company, already global in nature, also figures to enlarge its worldwide footprint through the AVANT collaboration, according to Hiner.

“Ultimately, Webair and AVANT share the same goal of providing world-class IT solutions to our clients and partners,” the chief business officer said. “This synergy is what really makes this a true partnership.”
