Make that the “New Hyde Park-based” Northwell Health system.

The formerly Great Neck-based system moved into its new Marcus Avenue space over a three-day haul in mid-May and officially announced the relocation this week. Roughly 300 employees – including executive leadership and Northwell Health’s legal, marketing, communications, managed care and corporate security departments, among others – now fill the 100,000-square-foot space, last occupied by Astoria Bank.

The New Hyde Park facility also houses the Northwell Health Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to research and development and improving the patient experience in communities served by the health system.

The former North Shore-LIJ Health System announced in 2014 that it had signed a 33-year lease – terms undisclosed – for the Marcus Avenue facility. The lease was actually signed in 2013 and the move was originally targeted for mid-2015, but was delayed to 2016 while renovations were completed.

The new headquarters boasts a 33,000-square-foot garage, a 4,000-square-foot conference space – including a 30-foot video wall – and a café operated by Unidine, a Boston-based dining-services manager with a health-conscious menu.

New York State’s largest private employer, which also maintains New York City headquarters on 59th Street in Manhattan, has moved “other staff” into its former headquarters on Community Drive in Great Neck, Northwell said in a statement.
