David Hamilton is one of the hardest workers in all of Long Island innovation.
As executive director of Stony Brook University’s Clean Energy Business Incubator Program and chief operating officer for the university’s Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (a New York State Center of Excellence), Dave is behind the scenes of myriad early-stage enterprises and next-level technologies – in fact, if there’s a green-energy startup or next-generation tech project anywhere in these parts, chances are his fingerprints are all over it.
He’s a teacher, a mentor, a master networker, a logistics expert and a team leader – exactly the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-’er-done type inexperienced, early-stage entrepreneurs need to show them the way.
In today’s conversation, Dave joins Spark host Gregory Zeller to discuss the treacherous waters of business development and how he helps the CEBIP and AERTC client companies navigate them, with a brighter – and cleaner – energy future waiting just over the horizon.
