Episode 17: Renee Flagler – Where The Girls Are

Just doing her duty: The duty of all humans is to serve each other, according to Renee Flagler, whose service includes a five-year run as executive director of Girls Inc.'s busy Long Island chapter.

Renee Flagler is knee-deep in networking.

As executive director of Girls Inc. of Long Island, her primary mission is to help the next generation of young professional women positively influence the world they inherit.

To accomplish it, she works with regional schools, local governments and Islandwide nonprofit organizations on collaborations designed to enrich and empower impressionable young girls – to help them grow stronger, bolder and more self-confident in their personal and professional lives, all while bolstering future workforces.

In today’s conversation, the teacher, award-winning writer and passionate public speaker joins Spark Host Gregory Zeller to discuss community-based programming, critical capital campaigns and the “human duty of service” – and to show how running a Girls Inc. chapter is the perfect way for a natural-born storyteller to express herself.
