No. 47: Henry Foley – A Top Tenure at New York Tech

Hanks for the memories: Henry Foley will step down as New York Institute of Technology president next June -- but he's not done yet.

First-ever PhD programs, a world-class biomedical-research facility, a major-league rebranding, a global pandemic …

To say Henry Foley’s tenure as New York Institute of Technology president has been productive is an understatement of the highest order.

During his seven years in office, Dr. Foley (“Hank,” to friends and colleagues) has lifted the school into the upper stratosphere of university education – and with his retirement now set for next summer, he’s still got more to do.

In today’s episode, the soon-to-be president emeritus joins “Spark” host Gregory Zeller to discuss his career as a scientist and an administrator before, during and after New York Tech – and to elaborate on why he believes the Old Westbury-based university’s best and brightest days are yet to come.
