Innovate Long Island was founded in 2015 as a digital media company covering and promoting the Long Island innovation economy. In 2025, Innovate News Service LLC become the publication’s new parent company.
Both the flagship publication and the new parent take the broadest view of “innovation.” To us, innovation is new thinking from student inventors and entrepreneurial business owners; it’s great startup ideas and corporate ingenuity; it’s world-class laboratory research and a thriving network of business incubators eager to commercialize brilliant science, clever products and awesome new services.
We also support public and private efforts to promote a single regional economy – an evolution from Long Island’s defense-industry heyday to a modern business ecosystem incorporating biosciences, clean energy, manufacturing, software development and other leading 21st Century sectors.
We’re excited to support STEM education programs and help strengthen ties to New York City’s mighty tech and financial markets. We’re all in on infrastrcture development. We suuport workforce housing and transit-oriented downtowns and all manners of progressive socioeconomics.
