A&Z plans $4.9M Hauppauge expansion

A&Z Pharmaceutical, a maker of dietary supplements for the Chinese market, plans a $4.9 million expansion at its two buildings in the Hauppauge Industrial Park. The firm plans to construct a 26,700-square-foot addition at 350 Wireless Blvd., which it purchased in 2014 for use as a headquarters, factory and warehouse. Thomson Reuters eyeing an exit?

News and information giant Thomson Reuters has turned down an allocation of low-cost electricity from the state’s ReCharge NY program that would have lowered operating costs at the company’s Hauppauge data center. The power subsidy was part of a state aid package supporting a proposed $5 million revamp of the facility, including upgrades to cooling systems and generators. It was unclear if the company planned to move forward with the project or even stay on Long Island….
